⚖️ Copyright Notice & Policy

⚖️ This Copyright Notice and Policy governs the intellectual property rights associated with all content, code, design, and materials on Med-Learno. All users, contributors, institutions, and visitors are bound by this Policy upon accessing or using the Platform.

PART 1: COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP

1.1 Platform Content

All original content published on Med-Learno — including MCQs, answer options, explanations, mock test papers, performance analytics, UI design, source code, database architecture, brand name "MedLearno.in", logo, all visual identity elements, and all documentation — is the exclusive intellectual property of MedLearno.in, protected under:

  • The Copyright Act, 1957 (India)
  • The Information Technology Act, 2000 (India)
  • The Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works
  • Applicable international intellectual property conventions

No content from this Platform may be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, transmitted, displayed, modified, or used in any form without the prior written permission of MedLearno.in.

1.2 Faculty-Contributed Content

Questions and materials submitted by verified faculty contributors are licensed to MedLearno.in under a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive license at the time of submission. The contributor retains moral rights — the right to be known as the original author. MedLearno.in holds broad usage rights including editing, republishing, redistributing, or removing contributed content.

1.3 NCERT-Derived Content

Content adapted from or aligned with NCERT textbooks is used strictly for non-commercial educational purposes under the doctrine of fair dealing per Section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957. NCERT retains full and exclusive copyright over its original textbooks, diagrams, illustrations, and figures. MedLearno.in does not claim ownership over original NCERT text.

1.4 Third-Party Material

Content adapted from coaching institute materials has been reformatted, de-duplicated, and adapted for educational use. MedLearno.in does not claim ownership over original copyrighted content belonging to these publishers. MedLearno.in has made reasonable efforts to ensure adapted content does not constitute infringement.

Rights-holders who believe their content has been reproduced without authorization should file a formal Copyright Infringement Notice at legal@medlearno.in (see Part 5).

PART 2: WHAT YOU MAY AND MAY NOT DO

2.1 Permitted Uses

  • Access and read Platform content for personal, non-commercial educational use
  • Attempt mock tests and view your own performance reports
  • Print or save a limited number of questions for your own offline study — never share with others
  • Reference general information in your own study notes without verbatim reproduction
  • Faculty contributors may reference their own approved questions in personal teaching materials

2.2 Strictly Prohibited Uses

Reproduction and Distribution:

  • Copying, reproducing, or duplicating any content in any format without written consent
  • Distributing or sharing content via WhatsApp, Telegram, email, social media, YouTube, or any channel
  • Republishing any content on any blog, website, app, or digital platform

Commercial Exploitation:

  • Using content to develop competing question banks, apps, AI models, or educational products
  • Selling, licensing, or commercializing Platform content in any form
  • Including content in paid courses, test series, or printed books without written authorization

Derivative Works:

  • Creating translations, modified versions, or summarized versions without permission
  • Using content for training AI/ML models, NLP datasets, or automated content generation

Technical Circumvention:

  • Circumventing DRM, access control, or copy-protection mechanisms
  • Scraping, crawling, or using automated tools to extract content in bulk

PART 3: TRADEMARKS

3.1 MedLearno.in Trademarks

The following are trademarks of MedLearno.in: the name "MedLearno.in", the domain Med-Learno, the MedLearno.in logo and wordmark, and all associated visual identity assets.

These trademarks may not be used in any product name, marketing material, or domain name without written authorization; or used in any way implying endorsement by MedLearno.in.

3.2 Third-Party Trademarks

Third-party brand names appearing on the Platform are the property of their respective owners. Their presence does not imply endorsement in either direction.

PART 4: LICENSING AND PARTNERSHIPS

4.1 Requesting a License

Institutions, publishers, developers, or organizations wishing to use MedLearno.in content must submit a formal licensing request to legal@medlearno.in. No implied license is granted by accessing the Platform.

4.2 Attribution Requirements

Where MedLearno.in grants a limited license, the following attribution is required unless specified otherwise:

PART 5: COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT NOTICE (DMCA-STYLE TAKEDOWN)

5.1 Reporting Infringement

If you believe content on Med-Learno infringes your copyright, submit a written notice to:

5.2 Required Information

  1. Your full legal name, title, and contact information
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work with title, author, and reference URL
  3. Identification of the infringing content on Med-Learno with specific URLs
  4. A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized
  5. A declaration that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act
  6. Your digital or physical signature

5.3 Our Response

MedLearno.in will: acknowledge receipt within 48 hours, investigate within 7–14 working days, remove or disable infringing content if the claim is valid, and notify the contributor. Frivolous or bad-faith notices may be rejected.

5.4 Counter-Notice

If you believe content was removed in error, submit a Counter-Notice to legal@medlearno.in with your identity, the removed content URL, a statement of good-faith belief, and consent to Bengaluru jurisdiction.

5.5 Repeat Infringer Policy

Users or contributors who repeatedly submit infringing content will have their accounts permanently terminated without notice, refund, or credit restitution.

PART 6: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

MedLearno.in makes good-faith efforts to ensure content does not infringe third-party copyrights. However, MedLearno.in's liability for infringement in contributed content is limited to removing the material upon valid notice. Users and contributors who submit infringing content bear full legal and financial responsibility.

PART 7: GOVERNING LAW

This Copyright Notice is governed by the Copyright Act, 1957 (India), the IT Act, 2000 (India), and applicable international conventions. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
